Sleet mixture may be possible in PikeFloyd and Martin Counties. Roads may be slick due to low temperatures and the combination of sleet as mentioned. Many fender benders were reported in areas with icy roads.

Chicago woman hit by snow plow
In Chicago one woman was hit  by a snow plow in the parking lot of a hospital where she was a nurse. Later it was confirmed that the woman did not survive the accident. Large snow piles may have played an effect in this tragedy due to the plow driver not being able to see the nurse.

Fort Wayne may be in flood trouble.
The second largest city in Indiana may be facing a flood crises if all the snow was to melt away to fast. Fort Wayne has experienced an immense amount of snow this year reaching levels of 10 inches this month alone. Some are calling on the U.S. government to take action.

Spring snow runoff is the technical term used in this instance. Due to prior years of this same episode of spring snow runoff the city is now better equipped. They have over 10 miles of drains that are placed alongside the city's three larges rivers.

 Leaving your pet out side may be life treating to the animal when temperatures are  low. Bringing your pet inside may be the best precaution. Your pet is like you when your cold it is cold.
